Our Transportation Business Unit is seeking a Traffic Engineer as part of our Smart Mobility Practice working on a variety of Traffic Engineering Design and Planning Projects. As a mid-level civil engineer, the responsibilities will be diverse and will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Working with diverse project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, data collection, data analysis, documentation, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc.
Signing Design
- Striping Design
- Signal Design
- Temporary Traffic Control
- Illumination Design
- ITS Design
- Leading tasks for traffic design projects
- Supporting project managers and task leads on multi-discipline projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington or Idaho (or the ability to obtain it within 1 year and has EIT certification)
- 5 plus years of professional engineering experience
- Ability to work both in teams and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with course work in traffic engineering
- Experience leading project tasks or small teams
- Experience with business development
- Experience training others in fundamentals of traffic design tasks
- Experience with design software such as Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Guide Sign, SignCAD, AGi32, etc.
- Experience with analysis software such as Synchro, aaSidra, RODEL, VISSIM, HCS, etc.

Potential salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000 depending on experience and location
