Job Description

Field/Office Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling drilling rig products and services to clients in the oil and gas industry. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing technical expertise and advice, and achieving sales targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients in the oil and gas industry, primarily focusing on drilling operations related to RCD/MPD equipment.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote the company's MPD/RCD products and services, including equipment, and parts.
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients regarding drilling rigs, well equipment, and drilling solutions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential sales opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients showcasing the benefits and features of the company's services.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and terms with clients, ensuring that deals are profitable and align with company goals.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients after the sale, including coordinating with the technical team to address any issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as engineering and operations, to ensure the successful delivery and installation of products and services.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management to track sales performance and progress towards targets.
  • Travel to client sites and industry events as needed to promote sales and build relationships.

Experience / Education Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales within the oil and gas industry, particularly in drilling rigs and related equipment.
  • Significant contact with operators, specifically on the drilling side.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling rig technology and associated products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites (Rig, Office, Out of State).

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle/feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
  • Ability to sit and drive for long periods of time.
