Job description

A Specialty Rigging Sales Representative drives revenue by selling specialized lifting equipment, services, and engineered solutions to industrial clients, often managing high-value projects. They prospect for new business, provide technical lifting advice, create detailed quotes, and ensure safety compliance, balancing technical product knowledge with strong relationship management. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Sales: Develop, manage, and penetrate key accounts, generating new leads and driving revenue in specialized lifting/crane markets.
  • Technical Solutions: Assess customer rigging requirements to recommend, specify, and sell appropriate lifting gear, cranes, or specialized services.
  • Quoting & Estimating: Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, bids, and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy in materials, labor, and project scope.
  • Technical Consultation: Advise clients on industry safety standards, compliance regulations, and best practices for lifting operations.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain high-level client relations and provide ongoing support to secure repeat business. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience, ideally within construction, industrial, or material handling sectors. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of rigging gear (chains, slings, hooks, hoists) and lifting techniques.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read blueprints or understand engineered drawings.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Other Requirements Occasional site visits for inspections, site walks, and product demonstrations.
