Description

Moose Landing Marina is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented New/Used Boat Prep Technician/Sales Rigger to join our growing team in the Sebago Lakes Region. This position is responsible for the installation, setup, diagnostics, testing, and repair of marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and onboard equipment for new and pre-owned boats.


The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, able to work independently, and comfortable in a fast-paced marine environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring every customer receives a safe, fully prepared, and high-quality boating experience.


This position regularly works around moving mechanical equipment, marine vessels, loud environments, and changing outdoor weather conditions. Employees may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, vibration, electrical systems, and on-water diagnostics.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Perform setup and rigging of new/used boats, motors, and trailers.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Install, repair, and test marine equipment and accessories.

Conduct sea trials and evaluate watercraft performance.

Ensure boats meet company quality and safety standards prior to delivery.

Track and manage workflow efficiently within assigned schedules.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Provide exceptional customer service and support when needed.

Work collaboratively with service, sales, and marina teams.


Qualifications

Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills and diagnostic abilities.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and seasonal demands.

Basic computer literacy required.

Valid driver's license required.

Marine certifications across engine brands are preferred but not required.

Basic tools are required, specialty tools will be supplied.

Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
