Who we are looking for:

Associated Controls + Design, a full service theatrical and entertainment systems integrator, is looking for a Rigging Inspector to join our team. Safely hanging battens shouldn't be a pipe dream. This team member will truly raise the bar when it comes to professional knowledge and experience. This position will be responsible for supporting the sales, project management, and installation teams, performing rigging and stage equipment inspections, writing up reports and recommendations, and helping build our service portfolio. This position requires a strong understanding of theatrical rigging and stage equipment systems, entertainment-specific building codes, applicable ANSI standards, building plans, and specifications. Satisfy our client's lofty expectations and take our projects to new heights. Raise the curtain on the next act of your career with Associated Controls + Design.

What you will experience:
  • A fast-paced, collaborative team environment where your ideas are heard, your growth is supported, and your personality is welcome.
  • A relaxed company culture that blends professionalism with humorโ€”and rewards hustle with flexibility.
  • A role that includes hands-on work, time at a desk, and interfacing with manufacturers, clients and coworkers.
  • An opportunity to help expand our inspection and maintenance services and have a real impact on the company.
What you will do at Associated Controls + Design:
  • Perform on-site rigging inspections in various venues.
  • Complete written reports and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
  • Read/interpret/manipulate specifications, building plans & drawings, riser diagrams, etc.
  • Provide system design expertise to support sales and project management personnel.
  • Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships.
  • Learn and apply ACD system design, inspection, and installation standards.
  • Coordinate labor and materials necessary for completing inspections. Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
  • Minimum 5 years of stage rigging experience (lighting and/or AV systems experience a plus).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • ETCP Theatre Certified Rigger (or qualifications to get certified within 6 months of hire)
  • Experience with standard office software (MS Office, Acrobat/Bluebeam), Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a safety mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights on ladders, lifts, and stage grids.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license, and flexibility for travel (up to 75%).
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in motorized hoist and automation systems.
  • Experience in integrating rigging with other performance systems.
What we offer:
  • Competitive base salary based on experience and quarterly discretionary bonus.
  • Insurance benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, and more
  • 15 days (120 hours) of paid time off + holidays
  • 401(k) with company match after 6 months
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options
  • Paid industry training and certifications
  • Professional and personal development through TrueU programs
  • Company-sponsored outings, family events, and celebrations
  • The chance to be part of a tight-knit, purpose-driven team
