Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Job Summary:
Supervise production floor Associates and Team Leads engaged in production work. Ensure the safety of all workers in the organization; as well as, enforce systems, policies and procedures as practiced by the organization. Report/Communicate to upper management and production scheduling group the shift productivity on a daily basis. Focus on continuous improvement activities in effort to increase productivity, reduce scrap, and improve quality.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise manufacturing floor employees, including: conducting performance evaluations, coaching, developing, training, and implementing disciplinary actions.
- prepare production reports for upper management as needed for safety, productivity and goals
- work closely with cross functional teams to ensure production assembly of parts takes place without downtime or loss
- revise schedules, resolve issues, establish priorities and monitor progress of work flow
- maintain quality product by enforcing organizational standards
- evaluate new equipment and techniques to ensure operation
- create and revise systems and procedures as needed by analyzing operating practices and implementing changes
- maintain clean and safe work environment (5S) by educating and directing employees within compliance of established policies and procedures
- communicate with customer to eliminate comeback repairs and inefficiency
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in the Automotive Tier 1 Supplier function
- Knowledge of equipment, machinery and testers for efficient utilization
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS
- Written and Verbal communication with customers
- Demonstrated leadership skills to direct employees toward production goals
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing/assembly environment
Special Requirements:
- Must be available to work during weekdays, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Must be able to work day and night schedules.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Noisy environment
