Job Title: Data Analyst

Skill

Prior PL/SQL Development experience
Data retrieval using SQL
Technical writing
Strong written communication skills, especially for technical audiences
Strong verbal communication skills, especially when addressing technical audiences
Ability to see the big picture and not get bogged down in the details
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to follow technical guidance from VDOT staff reporting to and working
Scripting/coding in a modern language such as Python (pandas, numpy) or R. Working with dataframes.
Knowledge of relational database design.
Data Engineering skills (cleaning, preparation, validation)
Data analysis and visualization
Exposure to or (some) knowledge of transportation data, skills, or/and concepts
