Job Description

Summary of Position

Assists the Estimating Administrator and Estimators with multiple administrative functions during Estimating phases. Supports the Estimating Department to generate bids, proposals and estimates.

Essential Job Requirements (MINIMUM):

Performs the following:

· Cross-train with Estimating Administrator on their functions: tracks incoming RFQ’s, engages customers by responding to RFQ’s with acknowledgements, makes requests for information as needed, and pulls all required documentation to support creation of quotes

· Gather and verify all customer requirements

· Document control - Print and/or order drawings and specifications, revision notices, check document list against documents in our possession

· Archive or delete obsolete documents in accordance with established procedures

· Backup CRM/SAP Administrator under the guidance of the Estimating Administrator

· Review customer requirements

· Evaluate material requirements

· Responsible for fielding Estimating Department phone calls

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Responsible for conforming to company’s quality control system procedures as documented

· Coordinates with other departments as necessary to support customer requests for quote

EDUCATION

· A two-year degree in business or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

EXPERIENCE

· Experience in an Estimating support role position or similar capacity desired. Administrative responsibilities required.

· Prior experience working in a fast-paced, detail oriented, deadline driven professional environment.

· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook

· Strong data entry and math skills. Demonstrated attention to detail.

· Analytical and creative skills to find solutions to problems.

· Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact with customers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors and co-workers on a positive basis.

· Sense of Urgency.

· Must be able to work successfully in a team environment and demonstrate the ability to help develop and implement procedures.

Proficient or familiar with internet-based quote portals.
