SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
The Arc Westchester, a leading non-for-profit social services organization in Westchester County, has a full-time position for a Senior Accountant in Hawthorne, NY. The position is in-office (not remote).
Responsibilities for Senior Accountant Include:
- Journal Entries
- Monthly Expense Allocations
- Supervision of 2 AP staff
- Run AP checks; send EFT files to the bank
- Monthly closing of AP
- Download daily bank EFT file
- Prove EFT/ Bank Drafts from bank to GL weekly/monthly
- Audit of GL accounts
- Problem-solve, answer inquiries
- Various other duties
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
- 3 years of related experience preferred
- Good attendance/ dependability
- Proficient in Excel and strong technology skills required
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal/ communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must be a team player
