POSITION SUMMARY
A member of the recruitment services department, the recruitment intern will assist achieving consistently high levels of customer support to both internal and external customers to include: confirming start dates for new hires, conducting outreach to pending new hires to obtain any necessary pre-boarding and on-boarding paperwork, and assisting with completion of the New Hire Orientation confirmation roster. General telephonic support to include routing candidate inquiry calls to appropriate recruiter for follow-up. Maintenance and updating candidate status in applicant tracking system as appropriate. Intern will also be exposed to and learn about talent acquisition and human resources fundamentals to include labor law, hiring and selection processes, interviewing techniques, and introduction to applicant tracking system usage and maintenance. Position is to last one-semester in length.; this is an internship to hire.
REPORTS TO: Recruiter
SUPERVISES: Individual Contributor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of 60 semester units completed from a regionally accredited college in the field of Business management/Human Resources, or healthcare administration or related field preferred.
Experience: Previous exposure to human resource or recruitment function a plus.
Prior administrative experience (scheduling meetings, answering phones, etc) preferred.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication skills (Verbal and in writing), PC proficient, spreadsheets, MS Office Suite, Email, strong ability to prioritize tasks, basic HR labor law knowledge, customer service, ability to maintain confidentiality.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but are not limited to the following)
· Support the Talent Acquisition team by providing excellent customer service and being a concierge point of contact for internal and external and external customers
· Assist the Associate Recruiter and Recruitment Coordinator with administrative support tasks as assigned
· Assist with collecting new hire credentials and paperwork and ensure documents get routed to the human resources inbox for processing
· Assist with completing New Hire Orientation Rosters
· Assist with general filing, copying, faxing, shredding of documents; General clerical support
· Assist with conducting pre-employment reference checks
· Assist with updating job master spreadsheet
· Attend monthly position control meetings
· Other general administrative support duties as assigned
