Job Description

Job Description:
The Scale Operator maintains an organized work environment, record keeping, computer logging, and other related duties.

Essential Functions:

Maintain a safe and organized working environment on the dock
Clean up spills on the dock area
Keep close communication between the unloading dock and the staging ramp
Correctly document the Customer, Carrier and Material type of inbound loads in SAP Business One
Recording material that is hard to handle or requires additional preparation before it can be processed
From time-to-time assisting in unloading trailers on the dock using an electric pallet jack or forklift
Recording hazardous materials and keeping them aside for proper disposal

Requirements

3-5 years’ experience in logistics and production planning, or supply-chain management.
Exposure to using SAP Business One is an advantage (training opportunities available within the Company).
Former Hazwoper training is an advantage (training opportunities available within the Company).
Moderate computer proficiency
Experience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment

1st shift: 5:00AM-1:30PM
2nd shift: 12:00PM-8:30PM
Pay rate: $19.00-$19.00
