Title: Network Installation Technician (Tier II)
Clearance: Top Secret (SCI Eligible)
Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite)
Salary: Up to $80,000

About this role:

Rackner is seeking a Network Installation Technician (Tier II) to conduct installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components to support organizational IT systems.
This role involves deploying network equipment, cabling, and connectivity solutions in accordance with established standards and procedures.

We are seeking professionals with:

3+ years; Conducting network installation
Administer network infrastructure components and configurations.
Implement cabling standards and practices.

Nice to have:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent

What will make you successful:

Install, configure, and test network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Deploy structured cabling solutions to support network connectivity, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure network equipment and accessories.
Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures during installations.
Collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to plan and schedule network installation projects.
Provide technical support and assistance during network installation projects, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Document network configurations, diagrams, and installation procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine network installation requirements.
Participate in IT project planning, coordination, and implementation as needed.
