The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help build tools to power influencer marketing campaigns and contribute to the development of new features and maintenance of existing code.

This position is part of a global, cross-functional team that delivers world-class, customer-centric digital experiences. You will be responsible for collaborating with the team to develop project scope along with effective testing approaches to ensure quality applications and products.

We regularly break out into small teams to tackle problems, learn new technologies, or just share what we know with others. We test our code and invest in the health of our systems. We push each other, learn from each other, and strive to continually grow.

Your mission at IZEA

  • Work as part of a team (6-10 engineers) to help enhance existing features.

  • Assist with onboarding new clients into the platform.

  • Participate in code reviews (through GitHub pull requests).

  • Pair with other engineers to share knowledge or help resolve any blocking issues.

  • Participate in sprint activities (planning, refinement/estimation, and reviews).

What you will bring to IZEA

  • 3+ years work experience.

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java/Groovy code. 

  • Meeting with the software development team to define the scope and scale of software projects. 

  • Designing software system architecture. 

  • Troubleshooting and bug fixing. 

  • Identifying bottlenecks and improving software efficiency.

  • Offer suggestions for ongoing improvement, and add or remove features as necessary. 

  • Design a plan for stability, scalability, performance optimization, and ongoing improvement

  • Experience with SQL databases, Postgresql is a huge plus. 

  • Experience with application containerization (i.e. Docker). 

  • Experience with cloud tools and technologies (i.e. AWS) 

  • Experience integrating with RESTful / GraphQL APIs.

  • Understand CSS, HTML, and Javascript fundamentals and semantics.

  • Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub.

  • Great communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Motivated team player.
