2nd Shift Packaging Team Lead

FULL-TIME | Monday – Friday

2nd Shift is from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

**MUST be able to work mandatory overtime on weekends**

Job Summary

The 2nd Shift Packaging Team Lead will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.

Essential Duties

• Ensures that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
• Checks for quality and accuracy of product.
• Assists Line leads with problem-solving, troubleshooting equipment, and personnel assignment.
• Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
• Maintains detailed and accurate work records.
• Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
• Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of related work experience is required.
• Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to motivate a team to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
• Ability to remain organized.
• Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a non-temperature-controlled industrial plant environment. These conditions can vary from hot and cold extremes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving production machinery and vibration. Moderate noise can be expected from forklifts, machinery, trains, and trucks. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Regular work will be performed near other workers and production machinery.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Slip-resistant, safety-toe shoes
• Eye protection
• Hearing protection

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods of standing/walking/squatting on the production floor

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

· Must be able to traverse the entire facility.

· Eight-hour shifts are required.

· Overtime required, as needed.

· Personal Protective Equipment Required – to include hearing protection, eye protection, and slip-resistant steel-toe shoes.
