Chemical Production Operator

At Itaconix Corporation, the Production Operator plays a key role. It is an entry-level, hands-on position with the potential to advance based on performance. Responsibilities include equipment operation, equipment maintenance and repair, shipping, receiving, operational safety, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance. The successful candidate will receive specific training for 4-6 weeks and qualify to operate the production line. Although no specific experience in chemical production is required, the preferred candidate will have demonstrated interest and capabilities in equipment operations, maintenance, and repair. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

This is a 12-hour shift, 3-4 days a week (7 am/pm- 7 pm/am). A 10% shift differential applies to night shift hours. Approximately 36-48 hours per week.

Job Roles/Responsibilities:

• Shipping and receiving of products, finished goods, and raw materials.
• Prepare products for shipping according to customer purchase orders.
• Operate manufacturing process equipment to meet product specifications.
• Maintain operating facility and equipment in safe working order.
• Perform trial production projects as directed.
• Maintain documentation related to production.
• Collect, maintain, and report production and quality metrics.
• Participate in safety awareness, incident/near-miss reporting, and production meetings.

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in forklift operation
• Minimum1 year of relevant work experience in manufacturing
• Eager to learn new skills and have a career in manufacturing
• Collaborative and likable team player looking to advance best practices.
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong safety mindset, such as safety awareness
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift 55 lbs unassisted
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
