WeCare at Avalon Care Center is actively seeking a motivated Registered Nurse Unit Manager / Infection Prevention Nurse for our community in New Castle, PA. Our Registered Nurse Unit Manager is a responsible to assure the optimal level of quality care is provided to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
· Work by prearranged assignment.
· Accept changes and adapt to added assignments.
· May be responsible for medication room and narcotic keys.
· Make rounds frequently to check all residents.
· Accurate reporting and documentation of resident status and care needs information.
· Assist residents attending physician during visits and rounds.
· Assist in updating care plans as needed.
· Assign personnel and make staff adjustments according to needed coverage to meet resident needs.
· Implement and develop policies related to infection prevention.
· Implement and develop policies related to infection prevention.
· Remain current with changes in regulations locally, state, and federal.
· Maintain records of all current antibiotic use, infections, and resident/employee vaccinations.

· Communicate with Medical Director and interdisciplinary team on facility quality metrics.
· Any other duties assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Previous geriatric experience.
· Previous supervisory experience.
· Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of PA
