Job Description

Our client, a venerable Berkeley Heights law firm is seeking a well-rounded, go-getter to join their team as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. Ideal candidates will have experience on the defense side, but will consider candidates outside that scope with a solid background in supporting multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities:

Conduct research to support legal proceedings
Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Record and store client information
Proficiency in court filings in PA (NJ is a bonus!)
Calendar management (Outlook)
Experience with the discovery process

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paralegal and/or Legal Assistant
Familiarity with legal research
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
