Fisher Island Club is seeking a Dock Attendant.

Assist with the operations of the marina.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide residents, members, and guests with assistance in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all marina docks and all working areas.

Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned by supervisor.

Responsible for golf cart rentals, cleaning and maintenance.

Responsible for the daily delivery of newspapers.

Assist boat owners with equipment and loading provisions.

Responsible for VHF radio contact with vessels.

Responsible for exercising all Club and Marina Rules.

Assist vessels with proper mooring (length, beam, and draft) in assigned slip.

Perform dock repairs, maintenance, and the safety in the marina at all times.

Respond to all emergency and security situations and be aware of marine surroundings at all times.

Monitor both marinas for all inbound and outbound traffic.

Challenge all arrivals for proper clearances

Properly log all arriving members and guests

Keep informed on all weather forecasts and advise when necessary.

Maintain a customer service mentality at all times.

Comply with all Fisher Island standards, policies and procedures.

Perform all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma is required.

Must be 21 years or older.

Must have a minimum of 3 years in the hospitality industry.

Must have minimum 1 year in the marina industry.

Must possess computer and phone skills.

Excellent "front of house" communication skills is a must.

Working Conditions:

Outside (all weather conditions)

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Must keep work area clean and free of accident hazards

Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management

Must be able to follow directions

Must be able to match colors and paint types for proper finish of surfaces

Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for hours at a time

Work is not performed in an office environment and is exposed to outdoor conditions and temperatures.

Shift requires evening, weekend and holiday hours. Extended periods of walking and or standing are required.
