Shipper Mid Shift

This is a Monday-Friday position with mid shift hours of 9:30am-6:00pm. Some overtime is mandatory and work hours can be adjusted for necessary business reasons like order demand. Initial training period may require an earlier start time until able to work independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares finished good for shipment.
• Receives and stores raw materials in inventory.
• Verifies records on incoming and outgoing shipments such as shipment counts, weights, and measures for documentation.
• Prepares shipping paperwork and documents accurately with required information in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
• Packages, palletizes, and labels containers correctly for shipment.
• Operates forklift truck to move materials. Loads and unloads trucks.
• Maintains housekeeping in warehouse.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
• Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment.
• Works overtime as needed when the loading/unloading of trucks extends beyond normal work hours or trucks arrive at the end of normal work hours.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must be able to read, write and speak English. 
• One to three years related experience in warehouse or shipping required. 
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience. Must be physically able to safely operate a forklift for much of the shift. 
• Math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Must have computer skills for data entry and completion of company online training courses.
• Works well within a team and able to follow specific directions.
