We are looking to place a mid-level Facilities Engineer to provide support for Department of Defense (DoD) programs in Washington, DC.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Coordinate, consolidate, develop, and maintain Facilities program governance and programmatic documents; action plan(s) recommendations; task and inquiry responses; and issue resolution action plan(s) under DoD program management oversight.
  • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing, and delivering/presenting associated meeting materials (e.g., slides, after action reports, minutes).
  • Analyze project data and provide reports to satisfy DoD and congressional requirements to include, but not limited to, reports satisfying the requirements of Title 10 US Code §2851.
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate Military Construction (MILCON) and Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) meetings and summits to include business process mapping as required.
  • Develop, document, and coordinate Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for any effort needed to address MILCON and FSRM requirements.
  • Coordinate with various points of contact (POCs) from other organizations and agencies to request and track updates to POA&Ms and milestones.
  • Record and draft meeting minutes for MILCON and FSRM-related meetings, summits, and conferences and track action items to completion.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various DoD and stakeholder action officers to develop, update, consolidate, and distribute slides for MILCON and FSRM updates and briefings.
  • Employ process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a facility-related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience and technical ability to analyze processes through modeling and simulation tools and to employ process improvement reengineering methodologies and principles support.
  • Broad knowledge of Air Force and DoD corporate processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, as well as Air Force or DoD regulations and documentation is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current SECRET security clearance is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
