Caregiver Options Counselor

SUMMARY Coordinates projects and activities for marketing products or services for caregivers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Serve as CICOA’s expert regarding caregiver issues, programming, resources, and support. Establish and maintain relationships with community resources; refer clients to community resources and services.
Promote and coordinate caregiver services with other agencies and individuals including corporate and community partners.
Develop partnerships and opportunities for outreach to caregiver in the community. Prepare, develop, maintain, and distribute reports, publications and resources for caregivers. Provide backup support for ADRC phone options counselors when needed or as schedule permits. Represent the Agency, Department or Director as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from accredited college or university in social work, gerontology, sociology, counseling, psychology, or nursing; or a RN Licensure with one year experience in Human Services; or Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 2 years full time, direct service experience with the elderly or disabled which includes assessment, care plan development and monitoring.
