Job description summary:
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled warehouse/receiving material handler. The focus of this position is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. Consistent, error free work based on defined ISO procedures, work instructions, and standards are key measures of job
performance success.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Accurately pull and package materials for delivery to shipping, assembly, and manufacturing
- Adhere to all packaging requirements
- Operate a forklift and order picker at heights up to 35'
- Stock merchandise and place into proper storage locations
- Housekeep and maintain a safe work environment
- Assist in prioritizing incoming and outgoing material
- Responsible for inventory control and Kanban level accuracy
- Lift and move heavy objects
- Communicate to crew leader or supervisor any problems
- Perform other duties as assigned by crew leader or supervisor
Experience & skills:
- Formally trained in the principles and methodology of Lean Enterprise. One (1) year experience in a lean warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to interpret written instructions and specifications
- Good mathematical aptitude
- Flexibility to effectively adapt to changing conditions and job assignments
- Basic product knowledge
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and routines related to customer deliveries
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Must be able to attain and maintain a forklift license
