Controller/Accountant for Construction Company

We are a specialty construction and manufacturing business located in North Las Vegas, in business for more than 30 years.

We’re looking for a full charge bookkeeper to help manage our accounting system, as well as perform office management tasks and help to handle phone calls.

Position responsibilities:

Enter A/P and A/R into accounting system

Manage invoices

Process payroll via our third party vendor from field reports

Prepare financial statements for review by third party CPA

Perform in house financial forecasts by working with the general manager and reviewing project schedules

Make journal entries to the general ledger

Manage office paperwork such as time off forms, HR information, etc

Answer telephones when required

Operate fax machine, scanner, printer, and other office machines

Help to coordinate logistics and ship packages by printing shipping labels (UPS, etc)

Work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm M-F

Qualifications:

2 year (AA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience

4+ years performing the above duties

Experience with Sage Businessworks or equivalent Accounting software

Proficiency with MS Office

Knowledge of Federal and NV tax codes as they relate to GAAP

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Experience with AIA billings and AIA/Certified Payroll

Experience with construction management software such as Textura, Bluebeam, etc

Strict attention to detail and a team first attitude

Must be located in Las Vegas/North Las Vegas, NV or be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be available for exemplary candidates.
