Job Description
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and management of facilities and infrastructure that support military operations and activities. This role involves overseeing the construction, maintenance, and improvement of physical facilities, including buildings, bases, and other structures. The Facilities Engineer ensures that the facility meets DoD standards for safety, functionality, and security. They conduct assessments to identify infrastructure needs, develop project plans, and manage budgets and timelines for facility-related projects. The engineer collaborates with various stakeholders to coordinate construction and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. They also play a key role in emergency preparedness, energy management, and sustainability initiatives within DoD facilities. Strong project management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are crucial for this position. The Facilities Engineer must also have a deep understanding of engineering principles, construction practices, and regulatory compliance related to military facilities.
Requires Security Clearance: Personnel must possess a final DoD-granted SECRET security clearance

Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience to tasks found in the SOW.
- Experience in the management and maintenance of building facilities, including computer rooms.
- Experience in DCIM (data center infrastructure management) system implementation and support for monitoring facility systems (power, cooling, humidity, etc).
- Experience working in a data center environment, rack mounting servers, cabling, and cable management.
