Legal Assistant - Litigation

We are seeking a Legal Assistant with minimum of 3 years’ experience in litigation law. The ideal candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter and must be able to multi-task and work independently. This position is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, certifications and briefs·
• Calendar and monitor court dates and manage client information
• Communicate and obtain information from clients
• Assist in trial preparation to include the preparation of trial notebooks
• Manage attorney’s calendar·
• Manage and organize discovery
• Schedule consultations
• Ensure clients receive a positive experience
• Help other departments as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of litigation procedures
• Knowledge of technical legal terms
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills with special attention to detail and ability to operate under pressure
• Able to leverage technology to work efficiently
