Summary of position- The Director, Fuel and Ground Handling will be responsible for trip logistics supporting all 14 CFR Part 121 charter activities for Elevate Aviation Group's 14 CFR Part 135 and 121 operations. This individual will partner with the airline's sales teams on pricing programs, work with our Client Services team to deliver superior guest services, and support the Operations Control Center team to ensure ad hoc and programmatic fuel and ground contracts deliver cost efficient and effective solutions. This position will serve as a senior resource to the day-to-day operations of the department. The position will also lead projects and drive process improvement that directly impact the organization’s ability to achieve scalable growth relative to the 14 CFR Part 121 charter activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
- Negotiate and procure optimal and most cost-effective Fuel prices for aircraft fleets to maximize profitability.
- Partner with current Fuel vendor(s) to capitalize on contractual commitments including rebates and rewards programs.
- Set up and manage AvCard with WorldFuel to obtain additional discounts and offset costs through the Fly Buy program.
- Partner with Ground Services vendors to leverage any and all discounts.
- Assist Accounting with fuel surcharges and any Ground Services pricing disputes.
- Arrange and manage compliance programs to support Government charter activity.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, CRM software.
- Must have strong analytical and planning skills, strong attention to detail and be highly organized.
- High degree of confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to act as an ambassador of the Elevate Jet brand to help grow company culture.
Education & Experience-
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 10 years’ experience in negotiating, scheduling, sourcing corporate or executive jet flights.
- Experience with 14 CFR Part 121 preferred
.Schedule & Travel-
- Schedule varies depending on the need of the operation. Must be able to work nights and weekends when required.
- Work hours beyond 40 per week are frequent.
- Travel is less than 25%
