Job Description

Are you ready to take the lead in ensuring contractual compliance and seamless execution of high-value projects? We're seeking a dynamic Contract Conformance Specialist (CCS) to join our team and drive excellence in contract administration. As a CCS, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the contractual aspects of capital and maintenance projects, ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations and projects progress smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration: Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, from administration to close-out, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

  • Communication Facilitation: Facilitate smooth communication between the company and contractors, resolving contractual matters promptly and efficiently.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various in-house departments and external parties to ensure alignment and achievement of project goals.

  • Documentation Management: Oversee the flow of documentation related to contractual relationships, maintaining logs and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

  • Collaborative Approach: Proven track record of fostering collaborative working relationships across departments to achieve common goals.

  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating complex contracting issues, ensuring favorable outcomes for all parties involved.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Oracle, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems, mitigating potential crises before they escalate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contract Preparation: Assist in the preparation of contract exhibits and technical contract language for assigned projects.

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with potential proponents during the bidding and formation phases.

  • Documentation Review: Review contractor-submitted documents for compliance with contract requirements, notifying of any deviations.

  • Change Order Management: Manage the change order process, including generating change directives and reviewing contractor requested changes.

  • Communication Management: Prepare meeting agendas, participate in contract-related meetings, and maintain communication with all stakeholders.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, legal, technical, or business discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Some experience in legal, engineering, construction, or contract administration, preferably in the energy industry.

  • Contracting Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of contracting processes and issues related to energy industry construction projects.
