Job Description

Job Title: Talent Acquisition & Team Member Training and Development Manager

Location: Headquarters

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Effective Date: May 1, 2024


Job Summary:

This role serves two different functions within the organization. Primarily the role will support business operations by developing and enacting hiring initiatives and strategies to recruit top talent. This position is responsible for full recruitment cycle, which includes developing job descriptions, implementing recruiting strategies by location, sourcing candidates through digital platforms, coordinating the interview process, onboarding new hires, and managing the recruitment and applicant tracking system within ADP.


The second very important function this position serves is overseeing and managing the training and development for our team members. This will aid in improving the productivity of the organization’s Team Members. This position maintains the Learning Management System and assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives while identifying training solutions for all team members. This role actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize team members.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Practitioner management of Talent Acquisition – Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Take all necessary steps to ensure a positive candidate experience.

  • Developing talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans.

  • Leading employment branding initiatives.

  • Manage job requisitions, candidates, and pre-employment testing.

  • Develop hiring, interviewing, and outreach initiatives to find and hire talent. Introducing new methods to increase recruitment visibility, enacting more efficient interviewing and onboarding procedures, and assessing methods and outlets to advertise job openings.

  • Determining current staffing needs and forecasts.

  • Identifies hiring practices that are working and revises those that are not performing as intended.

  • Meet with potential new hires to answer questions, represent the company, and connect applicants with specific department heads or team members.

  • Attend career fairs and other events for job-seekers to present information on their organization and advertise open positions or recruitment events.

  • Evaluate application materials to determine whether the applicant’s achievements, strengths, and ideas make them a strong fit based on organizational goals and needs.

  • Work directly with executives to conduct job interview for these leadership roles.

  • Track and analyze recruitment methods with regards to hiring trends, identify areas for improvement, and evaluate whether recruitment efforts are working as intended. Requires a high level of attention to detail and an understanding of how recruiting practices relate to overall organization efficiency and operations.

  • Work across organizations to fill open roles. Meeting with department heads to gain a better sense of current staffing needs and develop initiatives to drive recruitment within that department. Also works closely with HR and Operations to enact best practices in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding potential new hires.

  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Plans and organizes compliance training and 401k education.

  • Modifies and loads training programs as needed into LMS system.

  • Create metrics to measure the performance of talent acquisition and training programs.

  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.

  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition.

  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and branding.

  • Understanding of recruiting selection methods and techniques.

  • Proficient use of social media and job boards.

  • Willingness to understand the duties and competencies of the different roles.

  • Working knowledge of an ATS system is required.

  • Working knowledge of an LMS system is preferred.


Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in human resources, or other business-related field or an equivalent amount of experience and training.

  • At least five years of recruiting/human resource experience (preferably in the service industry).

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or AIRS Recruiting Certification preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
