We are looking for a Director of Engineering to be the technical cornerstone and a key leader in our journey. This role is ideal for someone who can balance hands-on technical expertise with effective team leadership, driving our engineering efforts to ensure Valkyrie and Cygnet reach full potential.

Responsibilities 

• Direct and enhance the engineering processes, ensuring alignment with the industry best practices standards and internal product goals.
• Strategically expand the engineering team, recruiting and mentoring top talent to foster a culture of excellence.
• Innovate and implement novel methods for cyber threat detection, enhancing the effectiveness of Valkyrie and Cygnet.
• Manage and optimize data schemas for scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, executive leadership, and other departments to ensure cohesive development and execution of our technology strategy.
• Actively contribute to coding and system development, setting benchmarks for quality and innovation.
• Manage key technical projects and delivery against the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional performance.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements, integrating them into our strategic planning and execution.

Qualifications 

• Minimum 4 years of experience in an engineering leadership role within the cybersecurity industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

• Industrial cybersecurity and/or critical operations industry experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, startup environment, with a track record of scaling engineering teams and processes.
• In-depth knowledge of on-premise and cloud delivered software development including popular languages like Python and Javascript.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and grow an engineering team.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and a hands-on approach to technology.
