Database Administrator/Application Developer

We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Database Administrator / Application Developer in the Information Technology & Operations Technology section of the Engineering Department. This position will report to the Supervisor of DevOps and Business Intelligence. This position is located on-premises.
Position Summary: The Database Administrator / Application Developer will perform a wide range of data management and software development duties. The candidate will have the ability to independently develop, maintain, document, and deploy data stores including relational databases, as well as data warehouses/data lakes; develop queries, reports, and data extractions; and develop and maintain software solutions with the technologies used in our systems. This position is located on-premises.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, document, manage, and maintain (including performance tuning) MS SQL;
- Develop document, manage, and maintain integrated data solutions;
- Model and analyze integrated data and big data analytics solutions across multiple data platforms;
- Develop, document, manage, and maintain SQL stored procedures and scripts for reporting and performance monitoring;
- Transform, extract, load, and analyze data for end users;
- Develop, document, manage, and maintain Internal and external facing applications (desktop and web based).

Must have high level (minimum 2 years) experience with the following technologies and products:
- MS SQL scripting
- SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and data visualization tools (Power BI)
- MS-SQL Automation, performance monitoring, and tuning
- Big data analytics solutions and integration (Databricks or Snowflake)
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Visual Studio
- Git / Git Hub
Must have experience (minimum 1 year) with the following technologies and products:
- NET Core - C#, VB.Net, and PowerShell
- Web development, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
- Project Management processes (Agile)
- Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and virtualization
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
Education and Work Experience:
- An associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years related working experience.
