Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Who Are We Looking For?

Bridges Public Charter School seeks a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology Manager (ITM), to join the school leadership team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of modern technology environments, routinely thinks outside the box to identify solutions, thrives on solving problems efficiently and accurately, and who operates with a high degree of integrity. The ITM will work directly with the schools’ existing MSP and Operations Department to provide exceptional day-to-day technical support to teachers, staff and students; manage a modern infrastructure environment, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and identify areas for growth and evolution. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel with empathy and patience, has a desire to teach and nurture technical competency in others, and actively coordinates and provides training on various platforms to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is also mission-driven, has an overall desire to see students succeed via the integration of technology, collaborates freely and openly, builds relationships across the organization, and places the good of the school and its stakeholders at the center of their work.


As an IT Manager you will be responsible for…

 

Technical

  • Maintain essential day-to-day IT service operations to include, overall readiness (i.e. wireless, core systems, copiers, ISP, phones, etc.) and provide technical support for students, faculty, and families.
  • Manage fleet readiness including device inventory, deployment, and updates for Windows PCs, laptops, mobile devices (tablets, phones, etc), printers, smart interactive panels, and other classroom or office technology.
  • Provide workstation support and respond in a timely manner to end-user requests, escalating problems and identifying trends for broader intervention.
  • Performs onsite repairs and manages warranty repairs of devices, and other equipment.
  • Oversee and manage MSP Help Desk and 4 hours of weekly onsite IT Technology assistance.
  • Support the overall effective use of instructional technology with rostering, integration, monitoring, coaching, and troubleshooting.
  • Support other teams and leaders with technical expertise, project support, recommendations, and research as required.
  • Manage the instructional technology environment to ensure learning applications are ready for academic use, rostering is updated, and coordinating with Data Support Specialists and Leadership to troubleshoot issues should they arise.
  • Ensure effective and timely onboarding and offboarding of staff, and manager processes and systems to provide a top-tier experience for new hires to the district. Coordinate with HR as necessary to ensure accounts and access are provisioned appropriately.

Management

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of physical assets and oversee device lifecycle and replacement strategy.
  • Oversee IT projects and solutions implementation, including making recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain at least twice a month check-ins with DNS (MSP) Account Manager.
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
  • Research and evaluate impacts of emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
  • Advise on inventory management, purchasing, and effectively budget to meet needs of school.
  • Coordinate with the instructional team for deployment of equipment for student testing and support testing readiness.
  • Develop and plan in conjunction with the instructional leadership a viable 3 year Instructional Technology implementation plan.
  • Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions.
  • Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Technical

  • Must have basic knowledge of network and IAM principles - WAN’s, LAN’s, WAP’s, VLANS, Hybrid Cloud.
  • Experience with operating systems such as Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019 or higher, MacOS and  ChromeOS, and MDM technologies accompanied with each (Intune, Chrome Enterprise, Mosyle/Apple School Manager).
  • Experience in managing preparation configuration of Windows PC, and peripherals (scanner, printers, etc).
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to staff and students.
  • Must have experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Google Admin Console, Clever.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • REQUIRED: 1+ year supporting school technology environments, managing Windows and Chrome Operating systems, supporting stakeholders.
  • REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent 
  • PREFERRED: MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) and/or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional, and/or MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician), Comptia A+ or Network+ Certification, or equivalent, Bilingual fluency to support families.


SALARY & BENEFITS

$80,000-$95,000
