Registered Nurse - Casual

Harney District Hospital is seeking casual RNs to work a minimum of two 12-hour shifts per month to help with coverage. Casual RN hourly rate starts at $41.32 and increases based on experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of professional nursing principles and practices and license limitations. Knowledge of mathematics to include basic algebra and geometry, and computer and keyboard operations. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write medical reports and procedures.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
Possession of a current Registered Nurse license within the State of Oregon, or ability to acquire by the time of appointment. Nursing license must be in good standing. Must possess; CPR/BLS, ACLS, within one year; NRP, ENCP/PALS and TNCC certification as soon as available per schedule of nurse educator but within the first two years of employment. The following certifications will be required in each area:
- Med-Surg, Telemetry, and ICU: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- ED: BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC
- FBC: BLS, ACLS, NRP
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: At least one year (1) of nursing experience. Possession of ACLS, TNCC at time of appointment. Possession of PALS at time of appointment or within one (1) year of appointment. Previous nursing experience in a Rural Critical Access hospital. Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing. National Nursing Certification in area of interest.
