Job Summary & Deliverables
As a full-service pharmacy, we provide all of the medications that the treatment team prescribes. Our team of highly trained professionals include pharmacists, technicians, and other staff who understand the day-to-day challenges. The ValleyRx team is here to ensure that our customers always have the most comprehensive and convenient experience possible; now including prescription delivery.
The Pharmacy Technician receives and fills prescription requests for patients and maintains patient profiles. The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
Essential Functions
- Retrieves, pours, counts, labels, and reconstitutes prescription medications
- Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information through the pharmacy’s computer network to maintain accurate records
- Packages and labels products under the supervision of the Pharmacist
- Obtains refill authorizations from prescribers
- Processes and prepares third-party insurance claims
- Communicates with physicians, patients, and third parties
- Maintains pharmacy inventory
- Prepares reports related to sales, usage, and inventory
- Answers phones and directs customer calls to appropriate personnel
- Maintains and cleans equipment, work areas, and shelves

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician license in DOPL
- Previous pharmacy experience
