Press Operator

Company Overview: Acme Abrasive is a leading manufacturer of high-quality abrasive products. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our production team. As a Press Operator, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, operating and maintaining press machinery to ensure the efficient production of our abrasives.

Position Summary: As a Press Operator at Acme Abrasive, you will be responsible for setting up and operating mechanical presses to shape and form abrasive materials. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to maintaining high production standards and meeting customer demands. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare press machinery for operation, including installing dies and adjusting press settings.
• Operate mechanical presses to shape and form abrasive materials according to specifications.
• Monitor and adjust machine controls to ensure proper press operation and product quality.
• Conduct regular inspections of press equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating press machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete necessary documentation.
• Continuously monitor product quality, identifying and addressing any defects or deviations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality control standards and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain press machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role is a plus.
• Familiarity with abrasive materials or manufacturing processes is a plus.
