Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This person isn't afraid to get into the weeds.
*This position has the ability to promote to Controller*
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records
- Oversee accounts payable process, including invoice verification and payment processing
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant experience (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA certification is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
