Facility Maintenance

Wedgewood Weddings is hiring to expand our team with a part-time weekend grounds maintenance employee to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of our event venues/buildings and common grounds. This position is a great compliment to a student's schedule or the schedule of someone working full-time Monday- Friday who is looking for a bit of supplemental income over the weekend. Roughly 2 hours per day on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with more hours available over winter weekends when plowing is necessary.

The ideal candidate will have an attention to detail and be able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all landscaped areas of the facility are watered and deadheaded
• Ensure that trash is removed from the facility and grounds, including outdoor trash receptycles and ash trays
• Set up of chairs for event ceremonies and occasional moving of folding tables for event use
• Perform minor repairs around the facility under direction from the General Manager
• Replacement of lightbulbs throughout interior and exterior of venue
• Removal of weeds
• Replace firepit propane tanks as needed
• Support snow removal by plowing, shoveling and salting as needed in the winter months
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager, Regional Manager or Director of Facilities.
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards.

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Must be able to move and clim a ladder
