We are looking for an experienced Technical Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to join an established, local, 100% employee-owned light industrial business. As an Inside Sales Representative you will be responsible for handling customer orders/requests and working directly with Outside Sales and Warehouse Personnel for order fulfillment. The ideal ISR is energetic, personable, eager to assist customers with their needs, and capable of guiding the customer through the entire order process, including quoting requirements, processing sales orders, researching technical aspects of the product, and handling returns and product procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Communicating with customers via phone & email
• Order entry, processing, and general oversight of entire order process in coordination with Outside Sales
• Data entry, management, and tracking of orders
• Maintaining detailed knowledge and understanding of inventory and application to address specific customer concerns and requests
• Understanding and identifying opportunities to cross-sell or upsell to existing customers
• Managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
• Attending Sales Calls, Trade Shows, and Vendor Training Seminars as needed/required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Experience in sales, customer service, and/or technical fields, up to two (2) years preferred
• Previous experience in the hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or automotive repair industries strongly preferred
• Technical Associate's Degree preferred (mechanic, mechanical design, manufacturing) but other technical degrees or certifications may be reviewed
• Field experience/background may be accepted in lieu of education/degree(s).
• Fluid power certification preferred
• High attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Technical background/mindset to learn about fluid power/electrical applications and products
