The Senior Director of Software will be responsible for driving all aspects of software and embedded controls for HVAC product development. The individual will be responsible for coordinating all development activities, resources and relationships to complete the software and controls sub-roadmaps of all HVAC product activities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Create and execute a development architecture and plan to deliver the embedded software, cloud connectivity and UI controls, and well as the associated hardware control systems, for the ONX HVAC program

  • Utilize current developed IP and design files to commercialize multiple products

  • Identify new technology and development partners to achieve product goals

  • Identify and hire engineering resources, and form and lead a high-performance team

  • Create realistic but aggressive milestones and goals

  • Achieve all goals and milestone targets according to plan

  • Achieve cost targets based on Product Requirements

  • Liaise with strategic suppliers and partners

  • Communicate effectively across the organization and with upper management

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in the HVAC market and industry preferred

  • Experience with HVAC product development and commercialization

  • Extensive experience with all aspects of software design, including embedded Linux

    systems, RTOS, cloud and mobile applications

  • Extensive experience with driving the hardware design of embedded controller boards

    using TI Sitara processors, TI C2000 embedded MCUs, and SiLabs Blue Gecko wireless

    co-processors

  • Driving desire to implement processes and procedures to ensure that the engineering

    team is delivering effectively and on schedule – Jira, Confluence, GitHub, automated

    test tools

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to form strong, new relationships

  • Demonstrated experience and desire to work collaboratively with a diverse team
