Technician I, Plating

Job Summary:

The Plating Technician I reports directly to the Production Coordinator, performs daily tasks to maintain the plating line through lubricating, cleaning, and general maintenance of the line. The Plating Technician is responsible for spotting any potential hazards and reporting them to the Production Coordinator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Understand and operate plating equipment safely and efficiently within company standards to ensure quality production is met.

· Organizes bullets.

· Manage time efficiently.

· Become familiar with the SPC program.

· Load bullets to be cleaned, transferred, plated or finished.

· Assist with daily duties (titrations, copper anode adding, filter changes, etc.).

· Assist with weighing of bullets.

· Maintain a clean work area.

· Comply with all safety rules and procedures set forth by company, state and federal safety and environmental regulations.

· Work safely with strong and dangerous chemicals.

· Complete daily log.

· Perform any other duties as directed by Production Coordinator.

· Report any issues to Production Coordinator and/or Supervisor.

Experience: No experience required.

· Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

· Abilities and attributes: Must be available to work day or night shifts.

· Responsibilities: Daily tasks as needed to maintain plating line.

· Supervision received: Direct oversight by the Production Coordinator.

· Supervision exercised: None.

· Working conditions: Building, outside, noise, heat, cold, injury or atmosphere exposures, including working with dangerous materials and chemicals.

· Mental and physical demands:

o Must have good hand-eye coordination and vision, good math skills. Must be able to concentrate and think clearly for long hours, long shifts.

o Standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, speaking, listening, climbing, motor coordination skills, coordination of eyes, hands and feet.

o Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

o Able to work safely with chemicals, including sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium cyanide, copper cyanide, nitric acid and fluoroboric acid, others.

· Confidential data: Access to company intellectual property must remain confidential.

· Travel requirements: 10% multi-site facility.

· Physical demands - Must be able to sit for long periods, some periods of standing, walking, lifting file boxes, speaking, listening, motor coordination skills, and good eyesight for reading documents and data entry. Additional and more specific physical requirements:
