Certified Pharmacy Technician

I have a large managed care organization looking for a Full-Time 6 Month CONTRACT Position for a Licensed/Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Columbia, MD area.

The ideal candidate will have be a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Hospital or Long Term Care - needs to have a strong back ground with medical terminology

Work in a Team - Pharmacist and 2 to 3 Technicians

Top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?
a. Filling prescriptions according to dedicated lot numbers
b. Staging of non compounded medication prior to submission for compounding
c. Filling of non- compound prescriptions to be checked by pharmacists
d. Monitoring for expired lot numbers for medication
e. Supporting daily inventory management for restocking of shelves

Skills/attributes are a must have 2 + years as a licensed Pharmacy Technician with knowledge of IV medication and passed experience in working with IV medications

MUST HAVE State Pharmacy Technician License or National Certification

Working hours - 10 am to 6:30 pm NO overtime or weekend required

• $22.00 per hour

• Contract - 6 Months

• Hours: Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• Location: Columbia, MD
