We are looking for a Parts Finisher to join our manufacturing team. Your role will focus on preparing small parts for final machining by assembling, aligning, and finishing components with precision. Key tasks include using dowel pins for alignment, stamping for identification, smoothing edges under a microscope, and cleaning parts for plating. You'll also inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet strict quality standards. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality in our production processes.

What you'll do:?

•Assemble parts in preparation for final machining.

•Align components using dowel pins and mounting screws.

•Stamp parts for easy identification after plating.

•Remove sharp edges and smoothen holes under a microscope.

•Clean and prepare parts for plating, including disassembly.

•Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure they meet specified requirements.

•Perform routine machine maintenance as needed.

•Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly reporting any incidents or hazards.

•Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and team members regarding job progress.

•Team player with a positive attitude, eager to collaborate and contribute to the success of the team.

•Assume additional duties as assigned to meet the evolving requirements of the department.

Requirements

•Must satisfy Export Control compliance prerequisites, being a "US Person" as described by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15; which encompasses US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.

•High school diploma or equivalent

•Possess a California driver's license.

•Proficient in sandblasting, deburring, drilling, and lapping parts.

•Skilled in the use of precision measurement instruments.

•Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent hand-eye coordination.

•Exceptional dexterity for handling small parts.

•Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.

•Eager to learn visual inspection techniques.

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a machine shop environment.

•Ability to stay in stationary position for extended length of time.

•Remove or replace up to 50 pounds.

•Positioning, arranging, or moving items up to certain heights or at ground level.

•Occasional ascending/descending of Ladders.

•Ability to use/work on small parts or tools for an extended period of time.

•Work continuously using a microscope.

Salary Description

$17.09- $20.50
