SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, internal marketing, and outside partners to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Duties:

• Work with in-house engineers and external partners to design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components using CAD and modeling software and on-site work
• Conduct research to determine the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical systems
• Create detailed engineering schematics, diagrams, and drawings for new and existing mechanical systems
• Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to analyze project requirements and propose solutions
• Perform calculations and simulations to optimize equipment and system designs and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Test prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support during the manufacturing process
• Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical components
• Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, test results, and project progress

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in designing, documenting, and troubleshooting mechanical systems
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with engineering software for data analysis and simulation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience interacting with customers, vendors, engineers, and other professionals to identify opportunities and solve problems collaboratively
• Ability to work independently
• Strong team player
• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Ability to travel within the US for product testing, installation, and commissioning activities

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with steam and hot water boilers (fire tube and water tube) and related heat transfer/recovery systems
• Experience with combustion systems
• Experience with equipment that produces, stores, consumes, or otherwise operates with pure Hydrogen and/or Oxygen
• Working knowledge of industrial codes and standards relevant to the above
• Familiarity with logic controllers and automation systems
