Production Supervisor

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT / SUPERVISOR: Healthcare Manufacturing

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Production Assistant / Supervisor are to oversee / supervise all activities going on in production and for coordinating strategic planning and functions related to production. The candidate ensures that production is in compliance with cGMP, monitors standards of products and ensures that SOP's are followed.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Assistant / Supervisor is responsible for the following:

- Overseeing production process, drawing up a production schedule

- Ensures the products are produced on time and are of good quality

- Drafting a time scale for the job

- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed

- Monitoring product standards and ensuring that SOP's are followed and understood

- Working with managers and team leaders to implement the companies polices and goals

- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed

- Ensure that all documents such as BMR, equipment logbook and status tags are filled out properly

- Ensure that SOP's are in all work areas before operating and cleaning equipment

· Enforces the policies and procedures surrounding the food safety and hygiene

· Examines manufacturing equipment to ensure that it works properly and meets governmental standards

· In case of violations, develops a plan to correct the situation

· Has good understanding of industry laws

· Consults with management to address compliance issues and make recommendations to improve processes

· Develops training programs related to, this individual also delivers sanitation law and company best practices initiatives to employees in one-on-one and group settings

· Keeps detailed records of sanitation-related activities and issues, such as inspections and violations, also noting how and when each situation was resolved.

· Maintains Utah Safe Food Handler's Permit up-to-date

COMPETENCES AND SKILLS:

- High School Diploma (minimum)

- 2 years of college or minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility

- Strong work ethics and organizational abilities

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes

- Ability to follow instructions

- Attention to details

- Computer experience is necessary

- Ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines
