Insurance Pre-Cert Specialist/Pre-Authorization Rehab

Regular Job Functions
· Contacts insurance company to obtain insurance verification and pre-certification for physical/occupational therapy patients
· Enters benefit information and pre-certification authorization into guarantor notes in eCW
· Faxes orders, patient demographics, and insurance information to hospital or facility.
· Maintains a working knowledge of Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, Workers’ Compensation, etc.
· Answers phones and provides routing information to callers.

Communicate with colleagues and supervisor effectively and time
Leadership, Initiative and Resourcefulness Responsible for all other duties as assigned by Physicians and Administrator.
