Health Informatics Specialist 1

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Able to provide help desk daily support for all roles for EMR software.
• Able to train end users for all roles.

• Able to multi-task in fast paced environment and provide support efficiently.
• Able to troubleshoot and prioritize issues or contact vendor to resolve.
• Involved with preparation for upgrades reviewing release notes to keep updated with new features, enhancements, and products.
• Ability to assist to create workflows for end users and complete system configurations.
• Recommend improvements to simplify workflow processes for the benefit of users/providers and the patient experience
• Assist with equipment and device setup.
• Adhere to and enforce all HIPAA compliance rules/regulations.
• Ability to identify and mitigate security risks associated with the use of electronic PHI.
• Reliable Attendance and Punctuality
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience: Two to four years related experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a background in working directly with physicians, mid-levels and clinic support staff.
• Must have Electronic Medical Records specific knowledge, eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, outgoing personality with strong customer service attitude.
• Background in medical terminology and workflow.
• EMR customization and maintenance knowledge.

Computer Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office and related products.
• Familiarity and/or the ability to learn customizable practice management software and electronic medical records.
• Proven knowledge required in operating systems, database, spreadsheet and word processing.
• Proven ability to train users in software applications.

Other Requirements

• Minimum 1 years progressively responsible experience in systems design or help desk support.

High interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to relate well with others in the execution of duties.
