The Role You'll Play

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and be responsible for contributing to the development of the highest quality web and mobile applications for today's mobile workforce. The Test Automation Engineer is expected to work East Coast hours and as such work closely with the development and quality assurance team members to help ensure the delivery of first-class software. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated IT quality professionals with a desire to join a world-class software organization. Successful candidates have experience with quality practices throughout all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Your Main Tasks

• Planning/designing manual and automated tests appropriate to the complexity of the targeted systems
• Utilizing the existing test automation framework to continue building the automation suite
• Executing complex tests according to established plans and standards
• Documenting and communicating test results
• Ensuring that system requirements are testable, complete, and unambiguous
• Analyzing solutions to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements
• Collaborating with the various roles of the Scrum team in an Agile environment, including developers, product team, and requirements/business analysts
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining test data with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and system flow
• Planning, estimating, and scheduling quality control activities; identifying test environment needs
• Assisting the developers with minor code changes as required

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in mathematics, computer science, or equivalent technical training is preferred. Industry certifications such as CSTE or CSQA are highly valued.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT quality assurance and testing roles, with 3 years of experience in test automation required.
• Extensive knowledge of at least one automated testing framework and associated coded test steps.
• Experience in C#, PowerShell, and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of either Xamarin.UITest or Selenium testing frameworks
• Experience writing API Tests
• Experience in an Agile development environment is highly valued.
• Depth and breadth of knowledge in software quality control, including various testing types, techniques, phases, and related processes such as defect management.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, project documentation, and/or customer needs in order to determine appropriate test strategies.
• Ability to thrive in a cooperative team environment.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Maui & BrowserStack is a plus
