Position Title: HR Recruiter
Reports to: EVP, Human Resources
Department: Human Resources
Location: Summit, NJ; this is an in-office position
Classification: Full-time; Exempt
Summary / Job Objective: We are looking for an HR Recruiter to manage our full-cycle talent acquisition process, from identifying potential hires to interviewing and evaluating candidates, through hiring and onboarding.
The HR Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing candidates online, updating job descriptions and postings and conducting background checks. If you have experience with various job interview formats, including phone screenings and group interviews, and can help us recruit faster and more effectively, we’d like to meet you.
This position may also oversee the Enterprise Internship Program as well as take on some HR Generalist responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions: The HR Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process:
- Along with hiring manager, designs and updates job descriptions
- Creates and manages job postings
- Sources potential candidates from various online channels
- Crafts recruiting emails to attract passive candidates
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
- Assists with the interview process
- Conducts background checks
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
· Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events
· Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
· Act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in an HR-related field is strongly preferred
· 3+ years of proven work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role
· Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
· Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
· Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
· Experience with sourcing techniques
· Understanding of referral programs
· Awareness of the Financial Distribution Industry a plus (Annuities, Life Insurance, Wealth Management)

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation (based on experience)
- Annual Base salary: $80,000 - $90,000
- This is an exempt position
- Annual performance bonus target: 10%
