In today’s fast changing healthcare industry, costs are going up, reimbursements are going down, and patients are facing greater financial burdens. Our job at Teton Therapy is to ensure every patient leaves happy and healthy with the ability to get back to living their fullest lives. In this position, you will be working directly with patients, insurance companies, and owners to ensure that all claims are billed daily, payments are collected in a timely manner, and patients understand their financial responsibilities when coming to physical and occupational therapy.

Precise tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

Monitor and follow-up on Patient Accounts Receivable
Review and send patient statements
Collection calls
Follow up on accounts at collection agency
Verify patients’ insurance benefits
File pre-authorizations
Review, clean and bill claims
Handle claims issues
Handle patient and insurance phone calls regarding accounts
Following up on denied claims
File appeals on denied claims
Prepare documentation for claim audits
Monitor and work accounts receivable

Requirements & Qualifications of Successful Applicants:

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and have a knowledge of insurance and how it works, however we are willing to train the right candidate.

Outstanding time management and organizational skills
Highly detail-oriented

Money handling skills
Basic Math
Problem solving and ability to spot mistakes
Basic use of computers and other relevant technology
Knowledge in creation and use of spreadsheets
Knowledge and comfort with Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Word
Knowledge and comfort with G-Suites, particularly Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Meet.
