Project HSE Manager

Direct hire opening with our rail industry client for a Project HSE Manager.

This role requires a construction safetly background and OSHA 30 Certification.

OVERVIEW OF JOB FUNCTIONS

• Establish, implement, and maintain HSE Management Systems in compliance with international standards and project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, legislative requirements, and customer specifications.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and implement control measures.
• Develop HSE programs to achieve objectives and targets.
• Manage project HSE resources and facilitate communication, participation, and consultation.
• Monitor, report, and analyze HSE performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or STEM Field
• 5+ Years of experience in Construction Safety and Health
• OSHA 30-Hour or Cal-OSHA 30-Hour for Construction Card
• OSHA 500 Authorized Outreach Trainer Designation a plus
• Ability to manage a HSE Team of 1-3 Individuals
• Experience with estimating, budgeting, and planning
• Comprehensive knowledge of Cal-OSHA, California EPA, Federal OSHA, EPA, Department of Labor and Local regulations, policies, and legislation
• Experience implementing programs and policies within ISO 14001 and 45001 Certified Organizations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and promote a harmonious safety environment.
• Ability to travel internally and internationally
• Ability to work day and night shifts as needed
• Ability to work throughout the Bay Area
