Job Description
KVC Kansas is looking for an Intensive In-Home Specialist to provide direct, in-home services to children and families to ensure continued success following reintegration or adoption.

KVC is seeking to hire an Intensive In-Home Specialist/Therapist!!!

Hybrid Work Schedule: varies on case load needs.

The Intensive In-Home Specialist will:

  • assist in the continued goals of the organization to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and family centered. KVC relies heavily on community connections and evidence-based practice to provide outstanding care to children and families.
  • provide direct, in-home services to children and families to ensure continued success following reintegration or adoption
  • use the strengths-based approach to assist clients in developing goals and objectives
  • demonstrate experience in working with children and families, superior organization and time management skills and professionalism.
  • maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions with clients. Strong computer skills are necessary to maintain documentation in KVC’s proprietary software.
  • testify in court hearings and provide written updates to cases with court supervision.
  • provide intensive in-home therapy on a regularly scheduled basis with master’s level credentials.

The Specialist position requires a Bachelor’s in a Social Services related field. The Therapist position requires a Bachelor's degree in social work, addictions counseling OR a master’s degree in social work, mental health/rehabilitation counseling, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, psychology. In addition, applicants for the Therapist position must be able to obtain a temporary or full licensure with the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board (ksbsrb.ks.org) within the first 90 days of employment if hired. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Experience with children and families is preferred.
